Hi everyone,
Just need some help if possible.
Currently have a mortgage with GE Money, we remortaged in April last year and on the Key Facts they have sent us is says...
What fee's must you pay?
Fee's payable to GEM HL
Completion fee £750.00
Redemption fee - Fee payable on full repayment of the mortgage Current fee £200.
Other fees'
Arrangement fee - A fee for advising on and arranging the mortgage(not refundable and payable GE money Lending Solutins, when you take out the mortgage). This fee ahs been added to the loan. £1000.00
You ahve chosen to arrange your building insurance. There is a one off charge of £25.00 payable to GEM HL to cover administration costs. Added to loan as requested." "
Sorry for being a bit dense but can I claim any of these charges back? If so which ones?
Many thanks,
Claire.

Oh right,
So isn't the redemption fee the same as an exit fee?
I thought you could claim those back? 2014 Challenge...
£2014/£15680 -
You can claim back the difference in mortgage exit administration fees (MEAFs). i.e. if it was £100 when you signed the contract and got charged £200 when you changed mortgages you can claim back the difference (in this case £100).
