Clearing old debts - advice needed

I will be fortunate enough to be in a postion of clearing all my outstanding debts in approx 3 weeks time due to inheritence.

Im trying to get the ball rolling with details on who/what/how much to pay ready for when funds hit my account.

All my debt is old debt newest is 4.5 years old.
I have 1 CCJ registered April 2008
4 defaulted accounts all registered End 2007- Mid 2008
other credit cards/overdrafts that are up to date but that I plan to clear

I have spoken to the debt collection company dealing with the CCJ (HSBC loan) I have made payments to them on and off for the last 5 years but nothing in last 6 months they send me the occasional letter to remind me and threaten action but has been well over 2 years since anything from the court.. The lady told me I would have to pay the full balance on the account to settle (no settlement figure) as they have ccj and it is also registered on my property as a charge.
I have asked them to write to me with stating amount owed and confirming ccj will be marked as satisfied and charge removed.. I am then under the impression that the CCJ will be removed from my file in April 2014. Is this the correct thing to do?

Two of th defaults I have are settled so assume I just wait the 6 years for removal?
The other two-
One is with welcome car finance.. the default date was 5.5 years ago- they never chase me only send me a statement every 6 months charging me something silly like 13p a month default interest? I have noticed that they have a charge on my property is this why they never chase me?
If I was to leave this until i sell the property (which would be past the 6 years) would the default come off and therefore not effect my credit score? or could they have it reinstated?

The second is a HSBC current account again defaulted 5.5 years ago.. I have had nothing regarding this for at least 4 years - its not secured on my property and there is no ccj just a default.. again if I left this untill the 6 years went by would the default leave my credit file or could HSBC reinstate it?

With regards to settleing debts rather than paying them in full - I understand this is not the best thing to do for new debts that will be staying on file for some time but given that most will be gone in 6 months would it be the wise thing to do?

Any help would be most appreciated and feel free to ask anything thats not clear!

Thanks in advance

Lou
