Unenforceable debt passed onto another company - Help.

Back in March 2013 I requested a CCA for my Credit Card debt. This debt had been passed from Lloyds TSB to Apex Credit Management.

On the 6th of June Lloyds TSB wrote to me, I say wrote it was clearly a generic printed letter with my name and the date scribbled on with blue biro saying they "made every effort to locate my agreement but couldn't".

On the 4th of July Apex wrote back to me and informed me Lloyds had recalled my debt from Apex.

This morning, 19th July, I have received a letter from Lloyds TSB saying the debt has now been transferred on to a new company Robinson Way.

I will not be contacting them and will wait for them to write to me, but do I just need to repeat the CCA request process this time with Robinson or try a different tactic?

I suspected this would happen.

Sometime in 2007. I was paying Apex from 2010 until this year when I requested the CCA, bad mistake from me leaving it so long I know, didn't know about CCA's in 2010.

Just because a debt is unenforceable does not mean an end to pursuit. It does, if court action is threatened, but they can opt to wear you down by asking debt collectors to seek repayment.

You don't say whether the debt is actually owed to the creditor - just that you viewed the lack of CCA form as your escape. The are allowed to wear you down, and there is a pecking order of firms prepared to purchase a debt for diminishing amounts as it becomes older. Two years is about the longest duration following it becoming SB.
