Guides To Starting A Business?

Does anyone know of any guides to the practicalities of starting a small business?
I'm talking sole trader/microbusinesses here. Guides to running multiple microbusinesses would also be appreciated.
I have a few I'm using at the moment but I would like as many different perspectives as possible!
Currently I've got:
A guide to business by Future publishing
A general startup guide - ThomsonLocal /resources/small business startup guide/
.gov guides - gov uk/ starting up a business/start with an idea, hmrc gov uk/startingup/
Does anyone know of any more?
Cheers,

I'm tempted to suggest a browse on the shelves of the Business section of your nearest large bookshop, or a visit to your local library.0

You might think this was trivial or obvious, but I actually hadn't thought of doing this.
I'm pretty sure my local library (bristol) doesn't have a biz section, but I'll be sure to check out some bookstores.
Thanks!0 -
Our local retail park has a large Waterstone's, I was idly browsing a while back, and was taken aback by the size of the business section therein, so i'd say well worth a look.
Maybe look on Amazon for the most positively-reviewed books of this type too?0 -

If it's the main city library, it's bound to have a business section, even a small branch library will have one or two books on business. If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0 -

Have you read these?
You're probably best off reading through them, then looking for guidance as to more targeted reading based on what you don't understand from the above, rather than continuing to accumulate generic reading

You got to be careful with business guides as many many people say they have an idea, but they actually set you up for slow growth ball and chain businesses. get a basic understanding then look to software startups in the USA for an idea on how to leverage marketing etc.0
