Hairspray got it off my sofa, but there is a few erms when I think about wood, it's not varnished so very pourous so would it just spread. Also there is if it's dug into the wood. Could it be sanded ?

Well methylated spirits is the traditional method for removing biro, but I do wonder if it might just *spread* it around. Perhaps you could try just dabbing at it with a just moistened cloth. But that won't help the gouge marks. For a small dent in wood placing a cloth soaked in boiling water can *lift* the depression, but I'm guessing there'll be too much to do this to? Sorry, despite my best efforts I don't think I'm helping:o I think you may have to sand it all down in the end. Hope not, good luck!:D

Probably the only thing you can do is sand it. Do you know anyone that has an electric belt sander that you can borrow? That would have the job done in no time with minimal effort from yourself.

Having a look the cheapest belt sander argos do is £9.99. It can be a good investment, I recently sanded and revarnished a whole pile of pine furniture that was looking knocked and dated, everything came up great.

Before investing I would say use a little bit of sandpaper to check an area and ensure the Ink hasn't sunk in too deep, provided its not sunk deep into the wood you should be fine, but it is a job you should get done sooner as the ink can continue to bleed into the lower layers.
