Is anyone else on a DMP and has GE Money as a creditor?
I had an evans credit card with about £480 on it when I went on my DMP. At first they refused to accept reduced payments because I had used my card in the last 90 days. Which I can see their point and thought fair enough.
After the 90's were up I was told to send in another SOA, which CCCS did for me, they say they never got it so CCCS sent another one. Eventually after completely losing my head with one really rude "customer advisor" they gave me a number to phone to talk to the "arrangements team" Spoke to a lovely lady who actually apologised and said I should have been given the number as soon as the 90 days were up. Anyway she asked for another SOA to be sent and said as soon as they got it all interest and charges would be stopped for 12 months when they would then review.
Phone calls stopped and then when my next statement came there was no interest, the month after there was a "debit adjustment" of about £2 added which I thought was maybe just things settling down. Then I get this months statement and there are 3 more of these "debit adjustments" on All dated 31-05-07 for £6.83. £2.01 and £1.13
I've just phoned GE Money to ask what they are and why they have been added and I would have got more sense out of my 6 yr old. All I could get out of the numpty was your account is in arrears you need to make a substantial payment now. I kept trying to get an answer about what these amounts added were for and I was ignored and told I needed to make a payment before he could discuss my account. Even when I said I was with CCCS he didn't listen.
CCCS say they will send another SOA and ask them to stop all charges and interest but there is nothing they can do if they refuse. But GE money have already said they are stopping interest
Anyone got any ideas what I can do now.....my debt with them is now up to £550 even though I've been on the DMP for 6 months

Sorry Looby we don't have GE as creditors
However, I do work somewhere which supplies this cards, and from what I can gather they are what they call their reduced interest arrangements. No longer using this account for new posts from 20130 -
Thanks Gemmzie, why the bloke on the phone today couldn't just tell me that I don't know lol
Thing is the woman from the arrangements team said ALL interest and charges would be stopped for 12 months, not reduced so I can't understand why anything is being added

Hi looby,we have GE money as a creditor (Evans card) I owed £945,I have to say we have had no interest or charges added since starting the DMP,the account is now passed over to ??? can't remember which DCA,but they send me a statement EVERY month to show the £0.84 payment which has been accepted,I asked them if it was worth sending a statement as the cost of postage in relation to my payment is silly, but every month one drops on the mat!
I think you just take your chances with creditors, some will help, some will not,I think it all depends on the mood of the person on the day!!
Good luck with getting it sorted

Hiya Lifeis, it's so frustrating isn't it. I pay £7 a month to them but that's all been wiped out this month with these adjustments (and a bit added on) I'm not going to be in the position to pay them any more for the foreseeable future and at this rate I'll be dead and buried before I pay them off
