Halifax - how long from valuation to offer?

Hi all (first post here so Hello!)

We have finally got a mortgage valuation booked in on our house (almost 4 weeks after our buyer paid their valuation fee) for 22 July.

Just wanted to know what peoples experience is of the time between the date of the valuation and the receipt of a formal mortgage offer with Halifax?

We want to exchange around the end of July and I am wondering if this is achievable.

Thanks

Halifax are behind on valuation times at the moment. They are usually good on everything else so I do not see your timescale as a problem.

I am of course, not your buyer - and they may have their own issues on timing.

Make sure everyone knows and agrees your target exchange date.

In this useless legal process in E&W you cannot control anything, but at least each party knows what the plan is.

Our survey was 20/6 and we got our valuation on 22/6.

The formal offer was dated 27/6.

"SLA" with Colleys is report back at Halifax within 48 hours, then time to get from input to offer - I'd say inside a week, in total, to be on the safe side...
