Hi All,
I've a friend who is just about to start working for the above company and I was wondering what it's like? I have not heard much about them and he seemed to know even less.
Thanks

Ah. Concentrix. Formerly gem.
I was a Director there a few years ago. Decent enough company - call centre, stable, well established, keen to grow, blue chip clients, career growth, etc, etc.
Actually would be a very good starting point for you. They have a lot of technical based contracts and there is also some movement into the IT department as an engineer or programming.
Also, i think the parent company is opening a development centre in Belfast so theres IT jobs coming too.0 -

I worked there for 7 years when it was Gem and really enjoyed it on the whole (its still work after all!), were great when I had my daughter and needed to get more stable hours (rather than rotational shifts) and tried to do small things that made it seem v personal and ethical (reading program in local schools for example) It been quite a few years since I left, so a lot may have changed but still know a few folk who have stayed so it cant be that bad
If they did more jobs that were 9-5 or similar, Id apply again.0 -
