Experian missing electoral roll details error

We pulled our experian reports as we're currently applying for a mortgage. Low and behold its showing as not on the electoral roll. We have email confirmation when we confirmed online with our local council back in October 2012 for 2013. The experian report shows electoral roll for the many years prior to 2013.

So we call up and there's a message on the experian helpline that electoral roll details are currently being updated and to check the reports for an update.

How many days/weeks does it typically take them to fix these errors and surely this means the search needs to be done again by the bank?

Not sure how they manage to have a system wide error like this that would lead to a large amount of people being rejected.
