Those "instant win" lucky number competitions

I'm just curious...
A lot of the magazine websites and sites like thisiscompetitions.co.uk have those instant win sections where you choose 3 numbers or a lucky dip and then have to decline lots of rubbish offers.
But has anyone here ever won on one of those and if you have, did you input your own numbers or go lucky dip?
I've done loads of them and they feel like the biggest con but I have no facts to back that up, just a feeling...

what gets me is a lot of the mag daily instant wins have an end date and yet rarely disappear before that date, I mean if they were truly random someone could win five days prior and so there would be no prize for grabs the last five days? Does that even make sense to anyone? it's nearly 12 so hard to tell if i'm rambling sorry.Starting afresh - comping as much as poss!
Hoping for: some beauty goods, clothes, amazon vouchers, anime, manga, wardrobe, fridge freezer, laptop, an ipad, vouchers for next, exercise goods, a uk break and a wee hol somewhere nice!
Wishing all a little luck:beer:0 -
I'd noticed that - what I think it means is that the sponsors have bought advertising for a set period & even if the prize has been won the comp has to stay for the advertisersproud gran to 4 lovely boys and one little girl0

i think your right, they seem to be a con to me. ive entered but never won and never heard of anyone that has. the prizes are usually really good and that draws me in; i would love to know the truth but doubt we will ever know for sure. great idea for comp corner by tthe way0
