Will putting trampoline on slabs damage legs?

Hi,
I want to get a trampoline for my kids :j but it'll need to go on slabs. I'm sure I've read that being on concrete can knacker the trampoline's legs. Has anyone got a trampoline on slabs? Have you put something under it?
I know you can buy rubber cups for the legs but I don't have a rivet gun to attach them so it's not really an option.
Thanks in advance for your suggestions,
Scotcat
