Remortgage

New to this , can anyone offer advice would like to remortgage to release £20, 000 currently have approx £90000 equity owners are 58 and 54

    What age do lenders give mortgages to
    Have been with santander for mortgage for almost 30 years made general enquiry around this they informed they would not consider until we had reduced our current term by 2 years to husbands retirement agents although I will not have retired even if I had I have a relativey good pension
    Would be grateful for any advice about this and were to start

    Yes.

    You retire, or can evidence income in retirement to service mortgage payments. Many lenders will accept retirement age is now 70 for most of us (or soon will be!)

    An independent or whole market broker. You want something "unusual" and you've already found the loyalty you've shown your current lender counts for nothing.

    Only part of the equation. As much depends on other matters such as how much you still owe? Whether you have any other debts? The purpose of the release of equity.
