Glasgow Self Assessemnt

Howdy folks on this fine summers day!!:j

I need to complete a self assessment:eek:, from November last year i began self employment again after a long period of paye work.

Should be a relatively simple account with P45, payment certs and receipts for expenses.

Anyone got an idea of the likely price for an accountant to carry out this service?

Used to use an accountants in shawlands, just wondering if i should be giving this a bash myself or if anyone has any advice?

  • If it's relatively simple, you can probably do it yourself and save yourself the accountants fees.

Are there allowances I'm entitled to that I don't need receipts for? And from my receipts, how much is deductible?

I work away from home most of the time, it's not always possible to get receipts for all expenses, and when you do some of the receipts are really poor.

Don't mind having a go, just don't want to over or underpay on any liabilities.
