I was joking but as you are taking it so seriously, to get things in perspective never had turkey in my childhood to much of a luxury in fact chicken was a treat.

Did we have year round turkey in those days?

I don't think we did along with a lot of things strawberries were much better then because you only had them in the summer.

    So he is allowed eggs?

What happens when the offer ends? Haslet?

Prices change and people react to them.

I really have no idea why you want to see a diet plan suitable for a bodybuilder who has chosen to pay the increased price of turkey.
It's somewhat bizzare that all those who give this advice not to buy inflating goods are the very same people ushering on inflation in house prices and ushering people to buy them. You'd imagine that the advice would be the same on any inflating good. But no, houses should be bough, turkey avoided.

Inflation is hard to avoid but it's people's willingness to adjust that drives the generation of lower cost options and food is a good example, transport another.

You might wish to consider that the spend on food has reduced from 12.9% to 9.3% since 1998. It's not really the sign of a race to the bottom just because turkey slices have gone up by 12.5% this year - in the UK scheme of things it's nothing.

We can either reduce consumption or see if there's scope within the other 90.7% of spending for some reductions - what about the 10.6% of spending that goes on alcohol and tobacco, the 11.7% that goes on restaurants and hotels?

Rather than buying a freezer to protect against the ravages of turkey twizzler inflation it might make more sense to buy a house on an extended fixed rate or fix energy costs.

    Indeed.

Should you buy a house instead of buying a fridge too?

    People generally buy both.
