Light Bulb moment number 2

So i am back here again - have been on a DMP for 8 years nearly after my ex husband left me with unsecured debt of £50k and have paid off 25k so far. I am a single mum of 3 (16 , 13 and 8) have a stable job which i supplement with some adhoc self employed income when i can - but this summer that dropped by £1k and i realised i am standing on the brink at the moment. I get no financial help from my ex towards the children at all.

Last year all was going well I had a new fella and we moved in together money wasn't an issue and i relaxed a bit on my spending then he left suddenly over night and i was in a house i couldn't afford (5 bed mansion that was £1k a month plus bills and travel costs) in a town me and the kids didn't want to be in so moved back to my home town but could only rent a larger house than I had when i was single before in the area i wanted to be in (800pm but no travel costs kids walk everywhere now) and for the last year i have struggled and have been robbing peter to pay paul - including running up what little areas of credit i have available to me.

So now i have my DMP payment which dropped from 312 to £83 plus a catalogue of £2k (monthly £125) Capital 1 card £750 (monthly £40) vanquis £1500 (90 pm ) and the worst yet 9 months left on a quick quid loan at 150 pm - these are the reasons i struggle to feed the kids each month and have decided the line is drawn today. Have contacted Payplan about adding the above to my DMP and increasing the payment to around £150 for now.

I will post a income and expenditure later today when i am at home but this is the start of me getting control again for the final time. I am also going to be reading the boards about cutting the food spend for a growing family as i cannot continue as I am :(
Been stupid but have no regrets starting to slowly sort my finances now the kids are growing
