Pinecone Points? Where have lunchon vouchers gone?

Excuse me if this has already been covered elsewhere I tried a search but nothing relevant came up.

I have just found out I have been switched to pinecone points when I would much rather have the lunchon vouchers, which are a live saver during my poor months.

I have logged in to my account but cant find out if I can switch back, can anyone help or am I stuck this way?

Thanks
Debt free since July 2013! Woo hoo! The bank actually laughed when I said I have come in to cancel my overdraft.

What are Pinecone points? I've just looked at my account and can only see 2 options: luncheon vouchers and Paypal. If it's Paypal could you just keep the money in there til you need it? It does say at the bottom of "my profile" if you want to change payment type to send them an email, so it should be fine.

    It's only a game

I received an email about 2 months ago telling me that I had been switched to the points programme, and now I receive a confirmation email telling when each surveys points have been credited to my account. I have just cashed out the points for the first time after a reaching the 1000pts cash out level. I was able to choose from a variety of vouchers, including Amazon, Argos, Sainsbury's. M&s but I don't recall luncheon vouchers were on offer - they were what I used to have. I think they are moving people over to the scheme gradually as a friend of mine received an email about the points scheme months before I did.

kachar - I think you are talking about globaltestmarket

Pinecone members receive 300 points per survey and can cashout those 300 points straight away.
Pinecone do not do Amazon vouchers

I've not heard of pinecone points either, my choice is still luncheon vouchers or PayPal. Not that it makes much odds as I'm only getting the occasional survey every 2 or 3 months.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

Nope, definitely pinecone. :jI am so pleased to have something more than Luncheon Vouchers to choose from. You get 300 points per survey which equates to £3.00 as before, and Amazon vouchers are now on offer if you have moved to the programme. I wish Global Test market emailed me every time my points were put on!

Here something from Pinecones Faq under Compensation that may clarify
How do I redeem my rewards?
Simply go to the Pinecone Research website and enter your login information. From there, click on the Redeem My Points button to access the reward site. Under the View Rewards Categories, you can browse or select the items you wish to redeem. Once you click on an item you are interested in, you can click on "add to basket" if you have enough points or "add to wish list" for larger items you want to save up for. Once you have added items to your basket, you must click "checkout" to complete your order.

I don't want to be switched to the Points Plus program. What can I do?
The Points Plus program is designed to provide panelists additional ways to use their incentives. You will still have a payment option to receive payment by your previous method of payment. Due to recent changes in the operations of our panel, this transition is a requirement of your continued membership. We hope you will continue your participation and try out this wonderful feature. If you still wish to be removed, please use the opt-out link below.

    Hi

Kachar is correct with the information but it looks as if you need to get an invite to join the program {to date I have not had any offer}. It seems to me that they are expanding the rewards they will offer but for me I think I will just stick to the cash reward

  • Hi,

Because I never opted in to receive rewards via paypal, when I choose paypal as my reward option they send me luncheon vouchers instead. I have done this on three occassions and each time they have sent luncheon vouchers when I have chosen paypal as the reward. So as long as you never signed up to receive payments via paypal the same should happen to you.
