CapQuest(another nasty bunch)

Hi thanks for letting me in on your site. I have been reading a lot about CapQuest and my husband has had correspondence and endless phone calls from them about a supposed debt of over £4,000 with Shopping Direct. How can he owe them money when he still has an account with them and they've actually just put his credit up??!! His ex wife got into a lot of debt before she left by taking credit out in his name when he was none corpis mentis with various illnesses and mental problems so we think this could be one of those debts. Is my husband liable for those debts even if his doctor said he couldn't sign anything(even a will) when he was ill?
We've also had correspondence from Lowells and CSL for the same reason, even for a phone number account that my husband never had, these are horrible people that prey on innocent folk and we're getting sick of the phone calls even when we tell them we will only correspond with them by post.

Firstly, I would change the telephone number and make sure it's ex-directory. Write and insist they can prove the debt...if they can, then might be worth speaking to your husbands doctor at the time of his illness and ask if he/she could provide a supporting letter outlining his illness at that time.0

Deal with them in writing only.
If they ring refuse to go through security. The more you speak to them the more they are encouraged to keep ringing.0
