morrisons job interview - waiting to hear back!

Hi all, just wondered how long it took to hear back from a morrisons job interview? My partner went for it last tuesday, took all relevent info in, had a succesful interview and was told by the interviewer he would call in a few days! Its for a brand new store opening next week, so was hoping to have an answer before now! He doesn't want to call them until next week, but I personally think he should call them tomorrow (a week since) they have since readvertised for the position (there was 3 altogether, one was already taken from internal applicant) they do have to do a crb and credit check, now we terrified he hasn't got the job due to our debt! Anyone else had an experince with morrisons? Many thanks in advance for any help!

i doubt your debts would effect getting the job.

But if they said it'll take a few days, and its been a week, it sounds like a fail.

If they are hiring for a new store, they would most likly want to get them hired and ready before the store opens.

but i agree, i think he should call them to confirm, at least it will show his interest

Morrisons, are not legally entitled to carry out CRB checks on employees. However, your partner should hear back after the basic check has been completed, takes 2-3 weeks.

hi my partner applied for a job at a new morrisons store a few months ago and had a interview for them handed in all the info birth certificate/driving licence ect and was told they would call him they didn't call but he got a letter about 3 days after the interview saying he had not been successful he has no debts so we think this must have been due to the fact he has his own business so they probably thought he would up and leave if his business picked up again.

my next door neighbour however was interviewed for the same store and got a job she got a call 3 weeks after the interview saying she had been successful so i think it can sometimes take a few days to weeks to here from them .
