sipp: best online arrangements

I want to consolidate, next January 2014, three small pension pots into one sipp that I manage myself online. The total value of the pot will be about £80000. I have the time and energy to run my own, and am not planning to invest in anything exotic, a spread of conventional funds will do me, though I would prefer ethical funds where available. I realise my pot is modest. I'm hoping it will be mildly interesting/fun to do this and generate myself a small addition to my income.

I'm confused about the best deal for me. MSE in one place (link not permitted) proposes Hargreaves Landsowne as the best value, but that looks very out of date to me.

But different MSE advice about discount pensions (link not permitted as new user) tips me towards Cavendish or Moneyworld-IFA because they have small set-up fees but refund all commission. Trading fees then seem much of a muchness.

Sippdeal also look interesting to me, very upfront and informative and potentially easy to use.

I'd be glad of any information from current sipp-ers, or people who understand more than me about the relative merits of these deals and platforms.

It probably is. Plus, HL have yet to reprice for 2014 compliance. So, if you went with them, you may have to be prepared to move again once their new pricing is announced (although for existing business, changes dont need to be made until 2016).

There is no commission on SIPPs. So, that is largely irrelevant.

    Hi,
the best for you will depend upon a number of factors including what you're going to invest in, how frequently you'll trade etc.

In our house we have SIPPs with both Hargreaves Lansdown and Sippdeal. Both are easy to use.
