  • Re tv - its on the basic tv package, weekend only calls and basic broadband, we have never bothered with movies as I always fall asleep and neither of us can be bothered with sport.

He was a house husband when DS was little and he said he wouldn't really want to do it again, hes working his way to having a decent income but its taken a couple of years to build up

But I cant put an accurate figure in if he contributes nothing to our day to day living??

The whole point of a SOA, is that it lists everything that comes in, and everything that goes out.
  • I understand that completely. So should I just take his profit from last year and use that for a monthly figure? I really just dont want to get it wrong :o
  • I'd be inclined to take what he has earned so far this year, and divide it by 6, to get an average per month.

How variable has his salary been, so far, this year?
  • Ok, will have to a look into this later. Will update the income part then

    Thanks

Any chance you could lose some of the TV package, such as movies or sports?

at £40.99 that'll be virgin medias basic package includes line rental, TV and broadband.

You cant get sports and movies with TV for that cheap.

For some people, TV is thier main form of entertainment, and most people will need to spend at least something on entertainment
  • What's wrong with Freeview for the TV

(I appreciate this is currently a hypothetical question, in regards to the op)

Some people can't get freeview. My friend stays in a "blackspot", so she has no choice but to get Virgin.

Also, there is no communal Ariel in my block of flats. To get a freeview set up would cost about £200. And I couldn't watch catch up, which is what I usually watch on TV.

And the thing with these packages of 3 services is sometimes, if you need the other 2 then to cancel the third one is hardly worth it, you wouldn't save a lot of money
