unemployment per profession
Comments

Individual universities will have limited data on what percentages of their graduates are employed - but I suspect most if not all will be reluctant to reveal if in a related field.
Recruitment agents will have an excellent feel for whether a particular profession is doing well - but it won't be a statistic and they may not want to share.
Why are you asking?0 -
Do they? I have no idea as I am sure I have never told them what qualifications I have and besides what do you think they do with that info?
I am AAT qualified but I have never told them that.
They are not collecting lists of people qualifications
I think I volunteered I was PQ at the time, because it was holding back my job search, but I don't recall being asked about any qualifications. I suppose it would be interesting, but I don't think they do take enough info to create such statistics.0 -
hello!
are there statistics about unemployment rates per specific profession? or in other words, demand for each profession?
thanks!
Your other posts suggest that you are about to begin a course of study, so perhaps you are asking so that you can ensure that your course will lead to the strong probability of a job, or perhaps you want to use this information to choose between courses. In that case, I suggest you ask the careers service at your chosen university: they are likely to know the employment rates among recent graduates of different courses that they offer.
Alternatively, you could look at the list of shortage occupations that are used by UKBA to decide whether to award work permits to people from outside the EU.0 -
knowing how many people with IT degrees working in a different industry wont really help you.
as you are just assuming they are working in different industries because they cant get a job in IT.
They might have had a career change, and chosen a different path.
its in no way an indication of how many jobs are available.0
