everyday puzzle magazines

i asked this before in comp corner but for some reason got no response. i see on the board the take a break and puzzle mags but do any of you do the everyday (puzzlecomp) mags? they arent as common as the others i know, but im starting to think if all the very experienced compers on mse dont do them than maybe there is a good reason and i am wasting my time and money. any advice would really be appreciated. thanks
