loose powder -anything new?

I love the no7 loose powder, but I hate the new oval compact, I struggle getting the lid off with hands that have foundation & primer on them.
Yes, I know I could take the lid off first or wash my hands but I forget & in the morning its a pain.

Any nice compacts for loose powders about?
Or better still any new ideas for loose powder application?

Hi Mrs E, I always use a foundation brush. I have a ruby & millie one from Boots. It took a couple of goes but I feel it is worth persevering. Much nicer finish. I wash it with shampoo.

This was exactly what I was going to suggest I apply my liquid foundation with a brush much cleaner and the product goes further.

I'm talking about powder though, not foundation.

I know, but if this issue is your fingers are covered in foundation so you cant open your lose powder pot I would suggest apply your foundation with a brush then no sticky fingers.

Can the powder be put into another container? I have a blusher that has a sifter type lid?

I've tried using a foundation brush, I didnt like it.
After putting on foundation I have no visable foundation on my hands, its just a difficult container.
    Can open everything else.

I have a Stratton convertible loose or pressed powder compact. I've never used loose in it but it must be ok if you have the sifter.
