How many credit checks ?

Hi all,
I have just thru a broker who has gotten me a aip with Natwest on a help to buy 75% LTV for a new build of £350,000. All went ok it seems. I have the aip saying accepted from the broker. Well a screen print of the intermediary website from him.
Do Natwest do another credit check after full application, or has it been done under the aip?
Tx all in advance!

There'll be a full reference check at the time of application.0

The broker seemed to indicate that they did one as part of the AIP! I take its not a "full one" then. Does that mean the AIP has no bearing on whether you will be accepted or not then? Almost seems pointless doing them.0

I'm in a similar boat to you too - just got a AIP from Nationwide and they did a credit check (which shows on my file).
I'm worried that having yet another search on there will destroy what little good is in my credit report...!0 -
No an AIP will not ruin your credit report, it will show as a mortgage quotation not an application if it even shows at all.
I was under the impression that Nationwide did soft searches so would have no impact anyway.Debt free as of 7.20am on 31st December 2012.
Wow. Feels great :j :beer:0
