How do I change payments of Child Benefit and tax credits, I have just received details of my new Co-Op account and would like to arrange for these to be paid into it.

Sorry, but I can't remember if you've gone BR or not, or if you were overdrawn with Natwest. If you've gone BR already, there's no reason why you can't ask the OR to ask the bank for the money, as it's for your children. If you haven't gone BR yet, then ask the bank to send you a cheque for it. If you weren't overdrawn, there shouldn't be a big issue with you getting the money one way or another.

Went BR on 25th May, still waiting to hear from OR (dreading that bit), Nat West my main creditor, rather not contact them at the moment.Went BR 25th May 2007 at 12.33, OR Interview now done. BSC No 880

Oh, I can understand why you wouldn't want to contact them in that case.owetoomuch wrote: »Went BR on 25th May, still waiting to hear from OR (dreading that bit), Nat West my main creditor, rather not contact them at the moment.
However, the money is for your children, & your OR is there to be the link between you & your creditors, so there's no reason why you can't ask him to make contact. The same would apply if it was Child Benefit, Housing Benefit or anything else - it's money your family is entitled to, so get the OR on the case. Even if you don't know yet who your OR is, if you ring up the office, they'll be able to tell you. Good luck.

Well I rang Inland Revenue about my child tax credits and they changed it over the phone and said they would notify the Child Benefit team for me also and sent the necessary form over the internet while we were on the phone, hope it all went OK.Went BR 25th May 2007 at 12.33, OR Interview now done. BSC No 880
