Use internet explorer on a mobile

Hi all,

I am looking to using a mobile phone to access the internet. From what I can gather you can use the traditional internet explorer, to access the 'proper' internet rather than that wap rubbish.

To do this I need a phone like a N95. What is the cheapest option, even if it is another mobile?

How does it work? Does it log on to your internet connection at home or does it have its own connection and ip address?
