Hi all, I need to get a couple of packs of AA batteries for my hols on Wednesday (for iPod speakers and digital camera) and I was wondering if anyone knew any places (Tesco, WH Smiths, etc) who have any good offers at the moment. I often see buy one, get one free offers, but haven't seen anything lately.

Poundland are good for batteries, if theres one near you (I know there aren't branches everywhere, sorry). Not to be confused with similar-sounding pound shops
Yeah, highstreet shops must make a killing on battery prices, the swines

well, I just checked the last pack I got, its made by Hyundai of all people. I do know what you mean, theres no point getting cheap if its no good, but I think they're fine. I got my rechargeables from there too.
For what its worth, Poundland is the only pound shop I go in... I think it has some genuine bargains, not *just* naff stuff

Hi, I recently got 50AA batteries from Argos for £10, I'm not sure if the pack is listed on their website but it is in the catologue on the batteries page. I know it's a lot of batteries but it's a really good price and they seem to last a good while as wellJust become FTBs & Aiming to be mortgage free by 2034
