Does anyone know if you get your credit score checked when trying to open a savings account? My OH tried to open a cash ISA recently and he was told they 'couldn't find his details' (we have moved house a few times recently) will he have this marked down as a negative point on his credit score? thanks

This should be a money laundering check, i.e. finding you on the electoral roll. The search should not be seen by lenders.0
