tick boxes

:)Can I please ask : when a comp has tick boxes (empty) and next to each box it says No, I don't want to receive etc etc. Should I be ticking the box to agree with the statement 'no I don't want to receive etc' or should I be leaving it blank ? this has puzzled me for a few days and hopefuly experienced compers can share. thanks

Thank you! could you tell me also, in my 'thanked' posts - I was hoping that was going to keep a record of what I had entered but my thanks (I thank every post) show for today I have only done 18 comps when I know I have done loads (I have been off work today and had a good day!!) ???

Your 'thanked posts' are when posted and people have thanked you for it, for example I have thanked you for posting this tick boxes question so it will show as your thanked posts. Sorry I'm a bit rubbish at explaining but I hope that helps

The only real way to keep record is by the ticks but you'd have to go through the pages to see them

I nominated the tick boxes for one comp for a golden bull award (campaign for plain english) can't remember which one but it's the one that says I don't want any communication (or words like that) & then says tick to sign up so you honestly don't know whether to tick or not

:)I know what you mean.. I don't think I am making sense LOL . In the statistics there is 'All thanked posts by (me)' and 'All posts thanked by (me). I thought every time I thank someone for a post it would show up in the 'All posts thanked by me' but they are not. I see the ticks and crosses show up in the pages (so I know what I have entered) but when I had a win yesterday I went through my thanked posts and couldn't find the comp or poster. I searched the comp on the search engine and found the poster that way. I don't enter to get the 'thanks' but like to return the favour when someone has taken the time to post. Unless the stats only update at certain times?

I keep a log of all the comps I have entered so I can check when something looks familiar, but then again my job is Database manager and i am a self-confessed statto
