You'll find most builders like you to use their broker because the broker will often ring the builder and confirm to them directly your eligibility for Help To Buy, if anything it can often work in your favor because a builder will be informed by a third party on your ability to proceed. In my experience this gave you more negotiating power, indicates to the builder you're a serious buyer and not purely window shopping.

I know it's the way things work, but it just amuses me. It's a bit like celebrating you got some tyres with your new car purchase!
Surely tyres are more akin to tiles on the roof.
Turf is more like floormats.
At £1.50 a Sq.M.retail a nice give away."If you act like an illiterate man, your learning will never stop... Being uneducated, you have no fear of the future.".....

Nothing is paid from the broker i used to the builder, i also believe Kingstreet (a broker himself) also confirmed this is often the case.0 -
Most developers don't take a kick back from suppliers like brokers or solicitors. The adviser should be there to help the client, but for the developer it's often a case of at least having confidence that they know the system and can get things through quickly whilst also having a working relationship with people at the company.0

I just love the fact that this post is made by someone who bought half a house.0
