CSA changed arrears amount

We have had nothing but problems with the CSA from my husbands ex wife claiming she was not getting payment direct from him to arrears from closed cases appearing. Just when we though it was all sorted it has started again. Last year my husband received a letter saying he was in arrears for all of his children for £465 after us already paying £2500 but we contacted the CSA who send us through a new payment schedule which has been paid each week withouf fail, this week was when the last arrears payment was made and it was just the regular payment to be made so this is what we did. Then yesterday he got a call to say he was in arrears to 1 ex by £908 and another by £2650 the one for £908 the kids are 21 & 23 years old and the case was closed in 2008. Their names were on the original letter saying that the total arrears was £465 which has been paid. How on earth can this happen and what can we do to fight it if we have the letter telling us what they said we owed. We dont have that kind of money, we have a small baby ourself and another 1 on the way there is no way we can afford this as we have spent so much time paying off what we wre told he owed. Can anyone help us please.

The general advice when they act like complete muppets is usually to contact your MP and get them to find out what on earth they are playing at...
Others on here will probably be able to give you far better advice than my 1-2 lines though!
But - if you've got documentation saying that everything was paid and the case was closed that should be the end of it.
I definitely wouldn't be paying anything!

Probably the PWC (s) have asked for old assessments to be reviewed/checked/corrected ~ which CSA will do if they have made mistakes.
My daughter is nearly 30 and they have told me, just last Friday (whilst looking into my other case), there are CoC we never actioned on your closed case, from 12 years ago, so we will have to review! Mind you I had mentioned 'how come I never received one single penny ever on that case?', even though I was sent schedule after schedule advising payments.
I never use to push for them to collect as I knew I had 'bucked up' on a real looser in my young, rebellious and lovestruck days.:o
Unless monies are owed to the Secretary of State.0 -

So - is there a time-limit on how long somebody can request a review of the assessments (esp. after a case is closed)?
If the CSA has given the NRP an assessment amount to pay and the NRP has paid it (and any arrears owed) and no-one has queried the amount whilst the case was live - how can it be queried when it's closed?

My QC's case has been closed 7 years. No further maintenance to be paid and arrears cleared.
I requested 8 mistakes over the past 13 years to be corrected.
The mistake from 2004 they have corrected and reassessed and are collecting right now by DEO...the others' are in the pipeline but because they get a bit confused they're going right back to 2000, the start of my case - the date it was opened...
...but whilst they were doing this they have found CoC's (on my CLOSED case, that THEY did not action and want to correct them (this for my closed case 2004 - child now nearly 30), so they'll be going back to 1997.0
