Did you actually default or miss payments but not default?

    Confused!

    Confused!

Not repaying a debt to contractually agreed terms in any form is technically a default. The speed of resolution of the default will determine the severity of the marker placed on the credit file.

So in your opinions would there be no lenders willing to lend to us or is it worth looking elsewhere?

As in my previous post, speak to a broker.

We have today been refused a mortage from Nationwide... I defaulted on a nationwide loan a few years ago
You should not have gone anywhere near a lender you "upset" recently.

Find an independent or whole market broker in your area and seek out advice in finding the right lender to match your circumstances. Make no further speculative applications until advised on the best lender option.
