I was made redundant from my job and was gutted that all my friends were off to a festival that I couldn't afford to go to. I felt so left out :(

...a few days before the festival I received an email to say I had won two tickets! I had the best time!! (I also got to go through the 'press' entrance so never had to queue for an hour to get in!

I was so grateful..it put a big smile on my face during a pretty horrible time. :)

Who signed it, very unusual prize

Thanks for the examples. Amazing how wins can be timed, as if the comping fairy is working her magic just in time!

It was a Liverpool shirt signed by the whole squad :rotfl:
To err is human, but to really mess things up you need a computer.
  • I had been giving some advice at work in relation to Ireland and realised that I had never really thought about it as a holiday location and I mentally put it on my list of places to consider. The next day I got a WEM for a 2 night break in Dublin with hotel and flights :D

Kinda perfect timing..mid life crisis time and we decided on a 6 week holiday to our most fave place Orlando..whilst there we decided to emigrate there....returned home and 2 days later got a call to say we had won a holiday for 4 to Orlando...we went in Feb to finalise the details for our move using our prize win so no costs!

    I've never had one :(

Although, something weird happened. My daughter had a problem with her hips when born so we had to go in to hospital a few times to have ultrasounds and had to see a consultant twice. Well, sitting outside the consultants room (both times) I had a WEM come through!! We keep saying we need to go and sit outside his room just to get some wins!! lol

I needed a new washing machine though and I have entered soooo many comps to win one....unfortunately I haven't been very lucky. Caved in and brought one last week!!
