Hi got back from 2 weeks holiday last week and so many e/mails to go through In the end I didn't open a lot of them and if it didn't look like a win I deleted but did I do the right thing !!!
I did at first on holiday try reading my e/mails on my blackberry but it was costing me a fortune and hubby was getting irritable
so in the end just left them came back to over 700
Just wondering what everyone else does
PS not a sausage won

You could do a quick sweeping search with keywords like 'won' 'congratulations' etc etc and see if that throws up any results before deleting0

I've been finding the e-mails have trebled compared to earlier in the year...0

I have filters set up on my emails so that any that come in with the words 'winner' 'congratulations' etc all go into one folder. 9 times out of 10 WEMs go into it so i can just check that folder and mark all my others as read xYou never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

Do you mind please sharing how to do that? Sounds like a good idea, I worry that I miss WEMs in all the spam!:cool:0 -

I think it varies from provider to provider. I have hotmail and can only filter on words like that in the subject line, not in the text of the email. In hotmail, I click in the top right, on a little cog, then click on more email settings, then under customising outlook, click where it says "rules for sorting new messages".0 -
I use the easy method of checking emails on holiday, netbook and wifi. My friend uses her phone on wifi and if those aren't available there are usually internet cafes around somewhere which you can nip into every two or three days.

Whilst you do get the odd newsletter etc in the folder it beats having to sift through pages and pages of emails. You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

depends what program you use
eg in Outlook
http://office.microsoft.com/en-gb/outlook-help/create-a-rule-HP005242897.aspx
I use rules for many emails
So emails to specific accounts or from specific people go to their own folders
My OH is job hunting ,so emails to her job specific email account are moved to a folder and also forwarded to her mobile so she can see them ASAP0
