Car Insurance - covering North/South

Is it possible to get cover to cover driving in both North and South?
For the next few months OH will be doing a lot of driving both in the UK and South. He has rang a few insurance companies and they have been very unhelpful. They will only allow him to drive in the South for a maximum of 30 days (which he has already done).
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Our business insurance covers us for both, given that we're based in Bangor but work mainly in the South ... insured through GH Bell in Hillsborough if thats any help.0
