Feeling dejected

Hi all
Interested to know how you all stay motivated with comping when you've had a never ending dry spell. This year I've won some nail art and some Glamour Gloves (admittedly worth £40 but not exactly exciting) and yet I must've entered thousands and thousands of comps.
I'm not so fussed about massive lifechanging wins but I hear about all these people who get 2/3 things a week off the postman and I am feeling a bit cheated for my efforts!!
Just wanted to know if anyone else feels this and if I can fine tune my comping efforts to get better results.

I think it all depends on how many competitions you enter. I spend hours entering competitions.
I do treat it more like a hobby though and I do feel a little disheartened when I have a slow time but go and read the IWin to give me hope.
The way I see it if you don't enter you don't win.
Sorry you are having a dry patch but cheer up the next win might be around the corner0 -
I do nothing - I just keep calm and carry on - you have to be in it to win it so giving up gets you no where!:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea0

Thanks both.
I also read the I won thread to try and stay motivated but in the last 48 hours it's just made me feel jealous!!!
You are right - I have to be in it to win it - and I'm certainly committed. On top of a full time job with long hours, being a mommy and this comping, it's a surprise I get any time to sleep!Wins 2014 worth: £8,988

I know how you feel, but if I don't win, I just keep going and know that it will be me soon!
Good luck xx0 -
It's a shame to let it make you feel dejected. You are definitely not alone as this issue crops up here quite a lot. Don't know if this will help or not, but for me it truthfully isn't about winning. Don't get me wrong, I love to get a WEM or a surprise win through the post, even when it's a very tiny win. However, for me the best thing about doing the comps is that I am constantly surrounded by the hope of winning something. To me, this is even better than the actual wins. The phone could go in ten minutes to tell me I've won an ITV comp, an email might be there now waiting to tell me I've won something lovely, and every day there is that excitement of the postie coming, or a delivery van perhaps turning up.
Best wishes

What a lovely outlook Blu, I think I need to give myself a good talking to and take on board your attitude.
I'd better make sure my phone is charged for that call from ITV nowWins 2014 worth: £8,988

I told my hubby its like window shopping with just the smallest possibility the shopkeeper will rush out & say 'here you are take one' :A
I haven't won yet (except for an instant win of kiddy beakers, which I was thrilled with)
So thanks to Blu & others offering encouragement & to the OP for asking what I daren't.:happylove Those who bring sunshine into the lives of others cannot keep it from themselves. :happylove0 -
To be honest i get dry spells then sometimes i'll win a load of stuff at once. A few months ago i won 3 times that day, but then didnt have anything for the next month. Don't worry, i keep thinking it's a case of when.:j:j:j0
