Quickquid - Fraud!!

So where to start?

Had a few loans from QQ in the past without any problems.

After paying off my last loan of about £100, Quickquid decided to commit fraud and pretend that I applied for an 8 month long loan (On my payday) for £850 which would cost me over £2000. (No, noone knew my 10 digit password with 3 capitals, 4 numbers and 3 lower case characters and no I have not been keylogged or anything of the sort.... Only quickquid have access to my accounts, all my PDL accounts use the same password and have had no problems with others... I have since changed them)

Luckily, I saw the emails coming through, contract information, loan confirmation, payment.... So I called my bank and locked my account immediately. My bank advised me to do a direct deposit into the creditors account to give them their money back after speaking to them.

So I called quickquid and explained, the first lady on the phone said that I would be liable for this. I obviously went crazy, told them a few home truths, got passed from call operator, to supervisor, to a manager and also the fraud dpt.

So, Quickquid obviously want their money back and I obviously want to get this crap out of my account and put it back in theirs.

Quickquid have said they will not allow me to transfer the money, do a standing order or postal order or anything of the sort.

The only way they will let me pay it back is me unlocking my account and card and letting them process a payment as normal.

After what has happened, I do not trust them with my bank details or my card details I have had their staff telling me I am liable, that I would still owe interestetc etc....

I have their bank details -

CashEuroNetUK
Sort Code: 20 19 90
Account number: 03759830

But QQ said they will not accept payment through this, only from my card..

What can I do ? Do I legally have to give them my bank and card details again after their mistake/intentional fraud against my account ?

Could anyone help me with ideas of how to word this to them with their small brains grasping what I am trying to say? - Where do I stand?

Many thanks in advance!

I would suggest paying via their bank details, putting either the loan ref (if you have it) or you mobile number.

Then send a letter (recorded) to them confirming what you have done, explaining the fraud etc (trust you have a crime ref?) and ask them to confirm in writing that this is acceptable and the matter is now resolved.

If they reply with that its not, then follow up with a complaint letter. If this isnt resolved, then raise with the OFT

I think I have no choice TBH, I am not giving them my card details so that money is going to have to sit in my account for now

Tell them you are victim of a fraud and demand that they provide details of the IP address that applied for the loan and what date and time the loan was applied for.

Tell them you will not under any circumstances be paying interest for a loan you didn't apply for and just want to give them their money back. Tell them that if they don't take your report of fraud seriously, you'll go to the Financial Ombudsman, Office of Fair Trading and BBC Watchdog.

Did you ever log into QuickQuid on a shared computer? Is it possible you stayed logged in and someone else applied for a loan, perhaps as a joke?

If QuickQuid come back and say the application originated from your IP address, this will be more difficult to dispute.

Which is correct because you are not the victim of the fraud, they are. Whether they report it or do anything about it is for them to decide. You just need to make sure all your passwords are changed, and keep an eye out for any similar attempts.

Are you not going to tell us how it was sorted - and maybe edit the original post where you suggest that QQ have committed fraud?
loose does not rhyme with choose but lose does and is the word you meant to write.

If they have now accepted you owe no money and the loan was taken by someone else then, yes, they are right about it being confidential.

If they were still trying to say its you, then I'd say you have a right to ask which IP address 'you' applied for the loan from.
