Hi all another question my OH had a iPa BR was June 2011 AD June 2012 he had a iPa as did I but as the payments was so high £280 each he disputed it with moon Beever they told him to stop paying while they re calculated and after lots of calls from him they said they would come bk to him. That was a year ago!! He chased it for 5 months but the OR or MB had no idea what they r doing.
My question can it re start after the 3 yrs are up? If they start it again will he have to pay for the year they told him not to?
I'm still paying mine.
Thanks

Unless the IPA has been formally ended, then yes, they could likely restart it.
But no, you should not have to pay for anything in between.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

So if he was still paying it would end next sept. Can they come back after Sept and he would have to pay 2 yrs worth?
Thanks just getting it straight in my head! :-)0 -
No. The IPA legally must end within three years of it's start date. That is literally 3 calendar years from the start, so they cannot lawfully extend the IPA beyond that.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB
