Nationwide mortgage cashback

Hi,

I am just about to complete on my purchase with a Nationwide mortgage and have opted for the £250 cashback instead of free legals.

The solicitor has asked me to pay all monies owed including their fees before completion. However, I remember reading on here some time ago that someone's mortgage cashback was paid direct to their solicitor.

Has anyone had experience with receiving Nationwide cashback and know who it is paid to?

It's kind of minor but I just don't want the hassle (or any more of their hefty bank transfer fees) adding to my expenses!

    The solicitor should the pass the cash back on to you at the end as far as I have been told

    This is not the case with all the solicitors. Some of them take a small percentage. It depends on the agreement you make with the solicitor at the beginning.
