How many ORs does a court have?

Just wondering?? I have heard from a couple of people who went BK at my local court, and their OR seems to have been pretty good, so I'm wondering if its likely to be the same for me? Knowing my luck, its wont be!

Sorry not sure how many are actually attached to each court but if you check out this link it gives details of all the OR offices including names so you should be able to get a rough idea from there who your OR is likely to be

Generally there is only one per county court however some areas have more than one OR office in the same office (London has three, as do Birmingham and Croydon and Manchester and Leeds have two) and some split the courts and some share amongst the offices.

All ORs are attached to the District Registries and High Court, meaning that an order made in Newcastle District Registry can be dealt with by Plymouth however the case will be moved to the local courty court (after 14 days).

Cases can also be dealt with by other offices in behalf of the local OR if the local OR has too many cases. For example Blackpool was carrying out telephone interviews for Bournemouth a couple of years ago. Generally they are more local than that. One of the Birmingham offices is now the overflow office.

Another thing that can happen is that if there are realisations which the OR can deal with, the case is likely to be moved to the Regional Liquidation and Trustee Unit (there are seven, one for each region. Swansea, Canterbury, Stoke, Birmingham, London, Stockton-On-Tees and Ipswich). This office will deal with the realisations (sales and IPAs) and any declaration and distribution of dividends. In this case the OR becomes the one in that office.
