Working 1.2WTE in the NHS

Was wondering whether any of you employment bods could help me?

I am currently working 37.5hrs a week as a 1 WTE post in the NHS. I am looking to chanage direction and might be offered two posts within different Trusts of 0.4WTE and 0.8WTE. If I work flexibly that would be over 5 days, with no overlap.

I wondered if there are any reasons why this couldn't take place or any employment implications I should be aware of? Thanks for any advice :)

    37.5 hours x (0.4 + 0.8) WTE = 45 hours
So that is below the 48 hours/week average where you would need to sign an opt-out.
However I think you would find you need to tell each employer of the job with the other.

I've done this in the past with no problem. I just had to tell each Trust I was working in the other.
