                    Afternoon all,
Last year i was able to get a friends/family Sky 50% off code. It was brilliant and saved a packet of money, it's come time for the payments to go back up and would obvioulsy like them to stay where they are!
We moved into a new house last year and i ended up cancelling Sky in my name at my flat and when we moved into the new house we used the code in my partners name.
Am i right in assuming that i would have to cancel the agreement in my partners name and take a new agreement out in mine again? Not that it's a problem, just want to know what i have to do first. I highly doubt if i called them to say i can't afford it on the full payments they would keep it going on what i'm paying.
So if anybody has any of the codes that were around in the past i'd be very grateful.
Thanks and regards
Trev.

            I'm doing nothing... ;-)
Shame, i found a code but looks like i'll have to cancel the contract in my partners name and then take it up as a new customer in my name. Assume that would work.0 -
Consensus of opinion is that the treat the address as the customer to stop people churning the account to get discountsEx forum ambassador

Shame, some of the friends and family codes last year were for current and new subscribers from memory?
I will speak to them and find out. I'd have thought though if you cancelled Sky then you wouldn't have it at the address, so if you then register under your partners name it would effectively be a new contract/customer.0 -
As long as its different names and different bank accounts then you'll have no issues. However, you'd have to have some form of a break between contracts. Your partner would have to cancel with a reason like they are selling up and moving abroad. I take it the minimum rental term has been met?0

            They're having none of it!
Guy is saying that there is a 30 day cancelation period and that as the code is only valid until the 18th it won't work.0 -
where can i find the 50% code? We are signing up to sky in the next day or two. Many thanks. x0
