Parking Fine Advice please.

Options
I have received a Parking Fine through the post for parking at KFC which is on a Retail Park. Usually parking here is free for 15 minutes but I stayed for 44. They were very slow and were having problems in the kitchen. The queues were massive and the food was taking ages to come out.

It's a private car park which has recently installed ANPR which I hadn't realised. Is it worth appealing? I have been told to but not really sure.

Definitely. Excel at the Peel Centre by any chance? A very well known scam and you will not be paying this, it's not a real parking fine.

Yes, you must challenge it but without stating who was driving; look at threads and find a short appeal you are happy with which says their signage is rubbish and the 'fake PCN' an unlawful penalty. They will reject your 'appeal' but they have to give you a POPLA code if this was in England/Wales (if it is Excel be ready for a rubbish response and do not believe their lies if they reply demanding to know who was driving). Demand the POPLA code until you get it.

Then you win it at POPLA with our help as to the appeal wording. Do not send a normal appeal when you get a POPLA code, in fact read up on other threads about it now (any threads on page 1 - 3 of the parking forum).
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
