Which Sat Nav

I'm rubbish with directions so have decided to get a sat nav. However there are so many I'm actually getting a little confused as to which one to get and what sort of money I should spend. I've had a look at the tom tom one and the tom tom 510 and they both look really good but is there something better out there. I don't really want to spend any more than £200 and really would like it to cover Europe, however if I can get something cheaper then fab.
Any ideas or suggestion would be very much appreciated - in the meantime I'll be the one driving around looking lost!!!

    Hi,

I've just bought a Sony Nuv51 from Amazon in the sale, about £130 delivered.
If you log on to the Sony website after regging the sat nav you can get free updates & for 1 month 'safety camara' locations ( which you can upgrade to annual for £20).

Get nearly 6 hours of life out of the battery, so it out shines tom tom by a long way.

    I'd recommend it:T

I was going to buy a TomTom 510 but I plumped for a Garmin Nuvi 310D in the end. If you can find one in Sainsbury's they are £149.99 or Amazon had them for about £155 a month ago.

It has all the features of the 510 including handfree bluetooth and if you register it with Garmin and order the updated maps disc (which is completely free) the disc has full maps for UK and Europe on it.

You will need an SD memory card to store the Europe maps on as the unit itself I think as can only hold the UK maps on the unit memory but you can pick a 1GB card up for less than a tenner these days.

It's a really good unit and much smaller than the TomTom 510.

Before you buy a satnav decide If you want bluetooth(Garmin NUVI 310,310D,360, TomTom 510,710, Mio C510E all have it) so you can use it as a handsfree with your mobile, you can't change your mind once you get the satnav. Then decide if you need just UK or Europe maps, its generally cheaper to get the europe maps with your satnav than to buy them afterwards.
Cheapest with europe and bluetooth at £145(google checkout) is the Mio C510
A good price considering its the same price as a Tomtom ONE(which has no bluetooth for handsfree or europe mapping)
Another option is the Garmin NUVI 250 which comes with UK and europe at £159 if you use google checkout here
