Long term disability payment from pension question

I'm early 40's and have been off work for over a year after my 10th operation.
I was signed fit to work with exceptions (can't return to do my job I'm trained for) last year. Two separate surgeons have both recommended this.
After 6 months my pension's illness policy kicked in and I am been paid 60% of my salary.
I have applied for and been interviewed for different positions with-in the company (but not offered the jobs).
I want to work, can I apply for and accept any job outside my company within my surgeons restrictions ? if I do - what impact will it have on my pension/long term sickness payments ? While 60% is very generous, I still struggle with my commitments.
Any advice would be gratefully received

That will depend on the specific rules of the pension scheme. You'll have to ask to find out. Expect that the answer is that the pension payment will be reduced, to nothing if the income is high enough. But you might get a different answer and in any case need to know the exact reduction numbers and thresholds that would apply.0
