2nd payment on account lower on Tax Calculation

in Cutting tax
My 2nd payment on account for 2012/13 on my SA Tax Calculation is a lot lower than on my Self Assessment Statement which I received about a week earlier due to a lower turnover than 2011/12.
Do I have to pay the assessed amount as shown on the statement or is it OK to pay the actual amount - or do I need to complete an SA303?

You need to be careful how you do this. If your liability for 2012/13 is £1000 you need to reduce EACH payment on account to £500 using form SA303

If you have, for example, paid £900 in January 2013, you would only need to pay £100 at the end of July.0 -
Thanks for your help.
I've registered for online assessment so I'll be able to check my updated statement once I receive my activation code and sort it from there.0
