To be even mentioned alongside those other names is truly a great insult. :)

    :p :rotfl:

    sorry SS..................not :D

Have taken the benefit of being up early (ish) to catch up with all the threads I have missed recently. This is obviously one of them, but will be checking in to see how you are doing Midnight.

    Good luck x

Well, everything seems to have come to a grinding halt on the DFW front. Although, good news on the £15 that HFS wanted to charge me - they phoned last night and said if I paid there and then they would waive the £15 fee so I paid it by switch - (then they charged me £1 to cover the cost of me paying by a debit card - aarrrgh!!!) Still it saved me £14 so I have to be happy at that.

Still no statements from Clydesdale Bank - over 100 days ....phoned them yesterday and they said I would receive the statements by 6th July, but in the meantime I was just to put in a letter to reclaim my bank charges ...who am I to argue? Letter sent to them today...just have to wait and see what happens...

Joined Moozies Mon-Fri challenge last week and pledged £10 but I only spent £2 :p now when I was in Sainsbury's I noticed that they have the Niquitin patches in special offer at £7.99 (how spooky is that?) so I bought a packet and started my no smoking quest today....

Things were fine for the first hour or so, then I realised that the bl**dy patch kept peeling off and refused to stick to my skin so I had to use another one - now being a good DFW'er this annoyed me (well, these patches are expensive!) and to make matters worse I had to stick the damn thing under the strap of my bra to make sure it stayed in place - so, just because I was suffering from nicotine withdrawal, I wrote a stinking letter to the manufacturers telling them exactly what I thought of their product and told them that it was difficult enough to stop smoking without having to keep peering into my bra every five minutes to make sure the blooming thing was still there :o:o:o And to make matters worse I went straight out there and then and posted the letter - wonder if they'll reply?

Still, to be fair, once that outburst was over I'm very proud to say that I haven't smoked today :T - mind you, if I keep having these crazy outbursts and writing mad letters to people they might insist I start again for the sake of humanity :rotfl:

If they refund the cost of the pack of patches though, that will be really DFW!! Well done on the stopping smoking, you're doing really well.

  • Day three and still not smoking, but I'm feeling really down today...really depressed and fed up...just a side effect of the nicotine withdrawal I suppose...

Been terrible with my budget this week. I think I've almost blown the whole months shopping budget and this is only week one:eek: not been keeping my spending diary up to date either so I haven't got a clue what I've spent  .

Nor have I posted anything on ebay and considering that's where any additional money comes from, you would think I could at least make an effort - honestly, I need a good kick up the backside!

Came home for lunch - hence the reason I'm on here, so have to go back to work soon - boo!! Hopefully I'll be feeling better and more positive by this evening. I'll post again later tonight to give an update.

    Hi Midnight

Hope your feeling a bit better now hun. :grouphug:

Just think of all the positives so far and you are doing really well on stopping smoking :T

You can catch up on the ebaying and get your spending diary up to date...it might not be as bad as you think.

  • Thanks hun!

Feeling better now. Just had to have a bit of a rant today. I'll make a bit more of an effort tomorrow and get back on track ;) .

Hope all is well with you.

Day 3 of any withdrawal is always the toughest. Get through this and you can beat anything!

  • Woke up this morning feeling much more positive.

The sun is shining and the birds are singing...I'm going away to take the dog for a walk in the meadow...when I get back I'll start putting stuff on ebay...will also look into Amazon...then I'm going to nip into the town to do a bit of shopping...I'm going to cycle seeing as it's such a nice day and I need to start losing some weight :o ...I'll nip into Boots and weigh myself...

Going to be busy by the looks of things.

Still not smoking - the little monitor thingy I've got on my homepage tells me that I haven't smoked for 3 days 2 hours and 32 minutes, I've saved £17.47 by not smoking, (although I've probably squandered more trying to keep my mind off buying cigarettes), 77 cigarettes not smoked, and I've added 6 hours and 25 minutes to my life....:D

Hope everyone has a good day!
