Debt Diaries

Hi all,

I'm really tempted to start a debt diary, so I can see how far I have come, and it will encourage me to use this site everyday.

I'm just worried that it'll be naff :o compared to some of the awesome debt diaries we have on this site, like Immoral Angel's, Sea78's and Hypno's to mention but a few. And I also don't want to annoy anyone who thinks there are already too many debt diaries on this board. I have played with the idea of keeping a little journal at home and filling it in each day, but then I'd miss out on the benefit of advice and help from the expert moneysavers on this site, which would be such a shame.

So what's the opinion? Shall I take the plunge, or are there too many as it is?

Hi Kells....go ahead post your diary....if people want to read it they will...if they don't they won't...at the end of the day it's some where to write your highs and lows and it doesn't matter whether anybody reads it...I will read it though..you get days where you're writing to yourself and other days where loads of people drop in...I write mine as I can look through it and see how far I have come or not....go ahead do it!!!

Take the plunge - I find mine keeps me on the straight and narrow - if I have put it in my diary, I have to do what I say I will do otherwise someone will pick up on it and I will feel very :o

    So, give it a go!

    definitely...definitely....definitely GO FOR IT!!!

    I love my diary - even if no-one reads it:rotfl: (but they do:beer: )

It really helps me to look back and see my progress, the good and the bad days. Looking at my DF date it looks like I will have 4 years of diary to look back on when I finally finish....but believe me I aim to have 3 years or much less:T

I also have to say the site is brilliant, but the diaries are inspirational. Everyone's debt is a different size but we all have the same goal...to be debt free. Without reading some of the diaries on here I wouldn't have believed that a newbie such a me could have achieved so much in such a short space of time.

Start writing a diary...and count me in as a regular subscriber:beer:

I started mine today because I regret not having a marker from when I started. The ones I read avidly (which is most of them:o ) have been so inspiring. And I was Honoured when one of my heroes (Hypno) posted a word of encouragement:D

Good Luck I look forward to reading yours, and as we will be starting at the same time, we could race to our finishing posts? (sorry, I love all these challenges....)

    :j :j I am a hero!!:j :j

I need the support from everyone just as much as everyone else does, and I find these boards do that for me. Everyone here knows where I am coming from whereas at home, despite OH desperately wanting us to be free of debt, sometimes he just doesn't "get it" and I feel as though I am banging my head against the proverbial brick wall.

So, my diary is my place to cry, laugh and scream with frustration, and whatever mood I am in, there is always someone around to pull me along and kick me into touch. Without it I would be stuffing takeaways into us and not opening post.

    I love DFW!!
