don't! he is growing up so fast. I don't want to wish his life away.
I had to pick his friend up after school yesterday to take him home but I needed to go argos too. So when I got him home, he told his mum could she please pick him up instead today.
Because we don't own a car, he hated the multiple bus journeys it requires to get to his house and then the walk up the hill to his place.
I am so glad that DS is used to having to get the bus everywhere and walking everywhere. Kids these days are too spoilt. It doesn't bother him that we aren't home watching tv, eating food within 20 mins of school finishing and at least he walks everywhere.
The kids who only travel by car everywhere, you can tell... they all walk really slowly and complain they are tired.0 -
Morning all
Well DS went off in his wooly hat this morning so must really be cold (tends to get earache like me in the cold wind)
Have been and got hubby's GTA V from tesco today. Also handed out my spare pre order slips to strangers to get them £5 off got some very strange mistrusting looks tho lol but nice to feel I saved someone some money and screwed mr T at same time
Also picked up two panebello pizzas as they are half price in mr T and this months mod is £1.50 off so free pizza and they look very nice. Think I am going to have to try pick up a cheap chest freezer for the garage to keep all these pizzas in tho as mine still full of ristaurante and magnums lol
Keep warm all

At a conference today at Drayton Manor Hotel. Went by train, managed to wangle first class again!
Got a text from DD1, she went for second interview today at company where I work and she's got the job. She will leave apprenticeship which was fine but rubbish money initially. She can get a lift with me and save on transport costs too!
If at first you don't succeed, try, try, try - oh bu99er that just cheat0 -

Not just kids spoilt having a car at backside lol.
My older 2 had to walk most places after school when they were younger although coached to school they still had to walk abt 15 mins to the coach stop but we were lucky as did live in the town centre but anything they did after school ie swimming lessons, drama club etc they had to walk everywhere as I didn't drive. So only driven abt when DH came home from work lol so they were half spoilt but DS3 has definately been more spoilt by having the car but we do try and get out and about at weekends.0 -
