It was raining earlier but seems a brief respite now. However still grey and overcast - guy here now fixing the tap and from what I hear the garden is going to be done tomorrow. So much for a restful bank holiday!

Hi all

a bit better but cannot motivate myself to leave the house today.

worse had made plans for DS tomorrow and they have been cancelled so now need to quickly find alternatives.

FT can i throw my laptop at you please ?it is so dman slow..... I need to find some energy to fix it.

thanks CW - I actually hoovered yesterday incl under the bath and that seems to make it look a whole lot better even with the panel off. Still in limbo land atm as need to secure the overflow pipe properly, and get some chipboard to put over the holes before I can put the panel back on - which means I can't paint the walls yet because the panel is a really awkward / tight fit and its nigh on impossible to put it back without scuffing the wall. OH tried the downstairs light again today and it was still buzzing, so unscrewed the fitting, and whoosh, got covered in water that was sat in it - no wonder it was blinking buzzing :eek: So that's now hanging off the ceiling and drying. Oh and the builder hasn't turned up again to finish the brick work - but I think I'm going to tidy up in here a bit, and make a start on the windows that need painting as i can ignore the WWI trenches outside when it's sunny.

Hope everyone is getting some of this sunshine, if you're not, I'd offer to share some from the 'Shire...but I want to keep it here :rotfl:
